A swallow loft

Every year since I moved to Marloes I have had swallows nesting in my large shed, generation after generation – which I can be certain of, because there’s a male line trait: one tail streamer longer than the other.
I have therefore tolerated swallow shit all over my stored wood, the mower, you name it… Well, at last I have acted! I have just completed this swallow loft, which will allow the birds to nest safely while letting me maintain a much cleaner storage area. And, I should no longer be scolded and buzzed while exercising my rights to enter this important building!
I am pleased to report that, with the exception of a few wood screws, the whole thing was constructed from either reclaimed or beachcombed material.

Well on the way…
