A very warm reception on a pretty hot evening! Poems & Pints at Llangwm Rugby Club yesterday was a great success, as have been previous such events; and, same as before, the readings and songs (and different languages) balanced well – despite quite a few programme items being as much of a novelty to me, the organiser, as they were to the anyone else there.
Anyway, the most important point is that we raised £400 for the DEC Ukraine appeal – and, matching the audience’s generosity, the Rugby Club donated their admission fees.
I’m very grateful to all who came and especially to everyone who performed.
