Apple gathering is over

There are just a few apples still hanging on in three trees; and, despite gentle attempts at persuasion – don’t want to break off the fruiting buds – they refuse to let go. So here end the daily windfall patrols; and the stragglers must stay there until they change their minds, or passing starlings (now on the move in numbers) notice them.

Apple gathering, Marloes, in the Edwardian era…?
No: three years ago this young lady, herself very artistic, kindly agreed to pose for me,
and I used oil paints on the colour photo print to modify her attire, taking her back more than 100 years.
Having photographed the result,
I then converted it to sepia monochrome.
My mixed media picture was inspired by this Harold Harvey painting, Apples (1912).
