Melynau yr yd / Corn Marigolds

(There should be a circumflex over the y of yd; but I don’t know the necessary trick!)
This field beside Marloes Mere (that’s Runwayskiln in the distance) seldom disappoints; but this year these flowers seemed especially colourful as well as abundant. Tricky to get the effect: I had to take along my old and highly valued tubes of genuine Cadmium Yellow, ditto Chrome Yellow Deep plus the usual Lemon and Primrose (the latter an invaluable colour).
Painted about three weeks ago; for some reason I had to wait a really good while for the paint to be completely dry before I could sign it today.
