I know they’re weeds, but they are beautiful! A gorgeous clump of corn marigolds appeared in the potato field beside our houses, and how it cheered up a grey day. Unfortunately the harvester has now come, and the flowers have gone. I painted this 2017 picture in one of the fields next to Marloes Mere – a dazzling display, that year.
