I forgot to photograph the picture’s first stage;
but you’d have only seen the main areas roughly blocked in with acrylic.
This is after the first oils session on location,
aimed at capturing the “fill” of the very high tide.
Painted more loosely than usual
using my excellent 24 inch handle brushes.
