Nameboard

Digracefully, the first time I have used my artist’s oil paints this year!
This is made from a teak ship’s boarding ladder tread, much worn by a long spell in the ocean, which I found on Marloes Sands in early October. After a lot of work with a rotary burr and then sanding and varnishing, I had a lovely surface to work on.
The lettering took about 1 1/2 hours – done freehand, no laying out work first.
