I had to cut back my Rosa Rugosa – to give me a better view down the road when I’m pulling out of the gate. Lady N took home a barrow load of prunings, and discovered that Marloes bees were just as interested in the flowers off the plant as on. If you don’t know this rose, it flowers through from May to October and the perfume is very strong; the down side is, in hot weather a bud can go from tight to fully open and then “blown”, all in the same day!
